This is a view from NY 17 in the upper Delaware valley. The river is on the far left. The RR is the former Erie Railroad main line once a busy 2 track line now a little used secondary line. Highway 17 is a very scenic way thru the lower Catskills and the Delaware and Susquehanna valleys in what is known as the Southern Tier of NY State
