Monochromaticity

I'm not sure if Monochromatic Monday is still going strong on Blipfoto, but in any case, today fits the the bill on two counts- the weather was depressingly monochromatic first thing, with the west wind hurling rain at the windows giving the impression it was going to be a dreary day, when suddenly like a toddler recovering from a tantrum, the sun came out and painted the world with colour, providing me with monochromatic shadows.

I will miss my weekly excursion across the Meadows this afternoon to chew the fat with my friend o m ts who is now safely ensconced across the Irish Sea, leaving me rudderless and friendless for future Mondays. Oh me miserum, o me infelicem!
