Carabosse Fire Garden
Just got back from the international festival seeing the Carabosse fire Garden. It was a great sight with the whole of Cambell Park lit with interesting and unusual lanterns, one example being white vests on poles. There was music coming through speakers in the bushes as well that was almost hypnotic. I went with my aunty Jill & her daughter in law nancy an my girls. Apart from being concerned about all the naked flames it was totally relaxing and i feel very at peace now I am home with my cup of tea with the kids in bed.
We had a home day today. The girls painted their nails as a Summer holiday treat. An hour later they were covered in nail polish and newspaper print and I was bleaching the bath after theyd been in there for a dunk.
Finding E a but challenging at the moment. Mostly the fact she won't do as she's asked and generally squabbling and winging about everything. I thought she might be bored so took her out on her skateboard with little L but she refused to get off Ls ride in bike despite being asked nicely 4 times. Just seems like I'm being totally ignored.... So I brought her back home again. :(
M had the leaving party for the girl in her class (mentioned yesterday) today. I got the invite the day we came back from hols and totally forgot about it until 2:10, 10 mins after the party started. I'd not RSVP 'd or anything but I was keen for them to get a happier goodbye than yesterday's so J took her over on the off chance it wasn't too late for her to come along. Thankfully they were really pleased she came. M left with a happy face and the girl had the massive smile I'm use to seeing her with. I welled up a bit when she accidently said 'see you Monday' on the way out.
