In his element

A real treat today... a tour of Cullen Church. The gentleman showing us around was the chairman of the local heritage society for 12 years; he has attended the church nearly all his life and has been an elder of it for over 50 years; and a very long time ago, he was....my headmaster in primary school!

It was a wonderful afternoon; he's a natural storyteller, and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the history of the church and of Cullen. There was a good attendance, and everyone seemed to really enjoy it.

I've added a few more shots as extras - I hope I've managed to capture something of his enthusiasm and his passion for the place, which came through clearly in everything he told us.
