Yoga with a view...
Clear skies this morning so we got up early and dived into the very turbulent coastal waters just outside our apartments. I stood timidly in about a foot of water, as I had seen quite a few jelly fish but then gave in and followed Paul who bounded in ?Golden Retriever? Style. A very refreshing start to the day.
Breakfast was bowl of Banana porridge and ?special muesli?.which is a pleasant change from the usual curry choices we had in less touristy places. We were checking out this morning so packed and headed off to our new spot ? Hillview right on the cliff. We got ourselves a lovely sea facing room with A/C so Paul was at last able to cool down.
After that we discovered we had a TV in our room so we watched a bit of the world service to see what the update was with the terrible Mumbai situation. Until now we have only really seen the odd snippet in the ?India Times? which seemed a bit surreal. Even though we are quite a distance away from all of that there is a definite tension here and we know that many tourists have changed their plans/flights due to the treats.
It seems almost hypocritical being in such a tranquil, idyllic place doing yoga and other stuff when there is this sort of unrest.
On a more positive note?..yoga?.totally getting it now. I have even stopped the urge to burst out laughing during the chanting bit. Yesterday I was able to try all the ?moves? without the sumo ankle swelling at all so I see that as definite progress.
Right ? starting to rain here again so best say Yameste for now.
