To Toronto with Kyle to watch Toronto FC, bottom team in North America's Major League Soccer, play Liverpool in a pre-season friendly. Hmm, the soccer was abysmal, most of Liverpool's international stars were 'resting' after the Euro contest and they sent a bunch of donkeys, clodhoppers and faded heroes to amuse the colonials. So the quality was about the same as that of our local heroes. The score, predictably, was 1-1 . . .

Best part of the afternoon, apart from the pre-game burgers, was this guitarist fellow who entertained fans leaving the Skydone stadium. His playing wasn't great, either, but he didn't charge $150 dollars for a ticket, and his glasses were truly spectacular . . .
