Ferry from Lismore
I was on Tiree for most of the day and the flight there and back was a little bumpy at times given the squally showers that kept driving in on a strong south west wind. At one stage we flew through a wall of hail that was bouncing off the Islander and sounded like bullets .
Coming back the little plane took a route I hadn't flown before - over the Dutchman's Cap, across the Ross of Mull just above Bunessan and then up to Oban flying parallel to the mainland.
Just we turned to start our final approach we flew over the Lismore ferry which was ploughing its way into Oban against a choppy sea.
