Tree Spirit

It was another tree inventory day, where I identified, measured and plotted 132 street trees in 3.5 hours. Way too many of them were maples. Enough with the maples! Anyway, this was a tree in a yard with several gigantic redwoods, one of which was cut down and carved into this lady. Notice she has a bird house belly button.

We also did a rare thing tonight-went to the movies! Overcome by the great review for Beasts of the Southern Wild, I convinced R. to go and I liked it but he didn't. This is the usual verdict, which is why we rarely go to movies.
