Hawkshead

The last morning of the holiday dawned bright and sunny. We had a great walk round Hawkshead and the surrounding immediate area with our friends before leaving. This is is the village tumbling down from the churchyard. We had to get to the M6 via the Kirkstone Pass as the main road is still affected by the winter floods. The road is beautiful along Ullswater but a bit of a challenge to drive. Understatement.

What a great time we've had away. Safely back home now to domestic responsibilities. Will enjoy catching up with all your journals and comments soon
