Peebles Orchestra

Their concert this week includes "Lobgesang" (Song of Praise) by Mendelssohn. op.52 2nd Symphony.   And I'm recruited to join the scratch chorus.

I have three rehearsals in which to learn the notes, and how the German words fit in.  Tonight, tomorrow night, and Saturday afternoon, performance Saturday evening.   Dinner jacket - will need to look that out - and hope I can get into it.

Thank goodness for midi learning files.   (That's where you can listen online to your own notes, with the other parts muted behind, and the orchestral accompaniment on piano.)  Still, it's a tall order.
