The ants are waking up!

Rain today, so I stayed inside, settling into the lab and office here. These days I am reading the ‘Ants trilogy’ by Bernard Werber. I got it as a gift for my PhD defense and finally got around to reading it! It’s a pretty amazing combination of myrmecology and science fiction. This is the first chapter of the first book: de mieren ontwaken (‘The ants are waking up’), and that’s exactly what they are doing out here!
