One of six
A quiet and restful day. I do have some reading to do for next week's Council meetings. Not as much as usual as I am unable to attend because my registrar is on nights next week, meaning he is not there during the daytime. I cannot leave a year one intern on his own for two days, so I've given my apologies. But I will give some written input on some of the matters.
My niece is staying for a few days, and we went to Warkworth (New Zealand not England), and I saw half a dozen Kawau tui (Little Black Shags) fly upstream low over the Mahurangi River. I followed them around the bend in the river, and caught this one in mid flap of wings.
Later this afternoon I got a good photo of a kereru (NZ wood pigeon) as well as a reasonable one of what I think is a Koekoea (Long-tailed Cuckoo).
