Evening at the Lake

The evenings are drawing in. By the time Maisie and I drove to the Taylor Dam for our walk the evening light was fading fast. Here the last rays of the sun are lighting up the raupo (reeds) along the southern edge of the lake. Later during our walk hundreds of starlings were circling and settling in the trees on a small island. Their noise was deafening.
My brother and sister-in-law arrived this evening. It will be great having them to stay for a few days.
