On the pitch

Finally the most miserable season I have experienced as a Charlton fan has come to an end. It's not the unnecessary relegation itself that hurts so much but the way that Roland Duchâtelet and Katrien Miere, the owner and CEO, have removed the heart and soul from the club and alienated the supporters with their contemptuous and dismissive attitude to them. Much fun was to be had at the final whistle today, though, as Burnley fans rushed onto the pitch to celebrate winning the league and promotion to the Premier League and were  joined by many Charlton fans who avoided the hapless attempts of stewards to stop them. I made it through to join in the good natured shenanigans - this photo is of my pal Marcus helping to get the message across.
