Goldi Sands Hotel

A very smooth arrival at Colombo Airport and quick transfer to our hotel in Negombo got our holiday off to a stress free start. Unfortunately the stomach bug I picked up in the UK before departure continues to wreak major havoc, and so my movements (other than bowel) have been rather restricted during my first day in Sri Lanka. I did make it out for a stroll on the lovely beach, however, where I declined the offer of a trip to sea on this elaborate looking boat.
