I didn't think you were home...
I love this corner.
The light is amazing at it, regardless of time of day - and I always love the shapes the passers by cast.
The town was exceptionally busy today, heat does that, people escape from their houses, gravitate towards the water, and the ice cream shops, and the restaurants and cafes.
Himself had been up a hill last night, and had a sleepless night the night before ...so I was expecting him back desperate for bed. He was desperate when he came home - but for a shower; I took the opportunity to escape into the town, grab a shot and head home.
Tooli also arrived home, after three night of partying; She was desperate for a roast dad's dinner, and bed. And now, at 9.30 pm, she is softly snoring upstairs, happy in a nest of comfy pillows and clean sheets.
I can't believe we are now on to five nights in our own beds before we head off on our travels. Not a thing packed. Not one thing.
Boy text me today and said "brunch in Manhattan this time next week mum".
And that was when it hit me!
