Beauty is all around us.

Big white blossom tree.

We are blessed with a lovely sunny warm day.
What a fabulous start to the week. Just glorious.
After listening yesterday afternoon to the local community group discussing the future of our local Green spaces, I feel distressed to say the least. I usually have a typical Sagittarian's optimism and faith in human nature.
They are non political, kind, caring residents of Rishton, who are standing up for the best standards a neighbourhood group can keep going.
The future looks like an even poorer quality of life, for a neighbourhood that stands to see our library closed and the libraries of two neighbouring small towns as well. A library is the hub of the community and a valuable resource that should be available for all the groups and individuals who use it. Especially the elderly and unemployed.
Have any blippers saved a library from closing and how did you do it?
Any ideas will be gratefully received.
Lovely tall trees, like this one, that fill our hearts with joy each Spring, could be no more, if the green spaces are gobbled up for new so called affordable housing.
We need books and we need trees.
We need strong communities to create sustainability and resilience for the children and grandchildren who live here.
