Backblip Friday: Upstanding

No prizes for guessing where we spent the biggest part of our day on Friday. We decided to take things quietly and moved straight from the Pickaquoy campsite, where we had spent Thursday night, and up to Brodgar to await a decent hour before going to the Standing Stones Hotel.

It was a glorious day, allowing us to spend an extended period at the Ring before making our lunch and then going out around the Nature Reserve.I have 124 photos to sort through and this is but one of them, chosen at random. The evening was spent at the Orkney Camera Club's annual social event, held at the Standing Stones Hotel. The hotel management very kindly allowed us to park overnight there, by the side of the loch.
