Sea breaker
No, these are not the rotten teeth of a sea monster, but the remains of an old breaker on the beach at Porlock Weir.
Porlock village is pretty, very interesting (with more lovely places for a cream tea), but it is well worth making the extra few minutes journey down to the sea at the Weir. Some of the cottages look so old, built right on the pebble beach, they could be inhabited by Dickensian characters.
However, it is all well looked after now, but remains an unspoilt and peaceful spot to enjoy the boats, the sea, and one or two unusual little shops too.
