Alien eggs?

I tend not to blip food but we met up the evening wth friends for a Chinese meal. I tend to have my favourite dishes where we go, but tonight I though I'd branch out with something different.

When the mushroom shu mai arrived I wondered if I'd made the right choice as it looked like something from an outer space movie.

As it turned out, it tasted delicious.
