Rose of Sharon

I broke my stride yesterday and wasn't able to Blip. While paddling around on a lake close to home, a wave came over the boat and rendered my camera unoperatable and water damaged. Gratefully today, with sunshine, and a bright window, my simple camera sparked back to life.
One of the first blooms on the "Rose of Sharon", the violet colour and double blooms indicate the lateness of the summer. The flowers are so very heavy that the branches usually begin to hang low to the ground.
The drought in south eastern Ontario continues..........
