Under the Arches
It wasn't unbridled altruism that made me volunteer to accompany His Lordship by bus to Peebles this morning on his solo walk into the hills; no, it was the the thought of a cranberry and walnut scone at the journey's end and a possible blip other than one of the beguiling Meadow's cherry blossom, that sealed the deal.
It was considerably warmer in Peebles, out of reach from the chilly fingers of the coastal east wind; there were even some older residents about, sans coats and cardigans.
The scones lived up to reputation and while HL got under way on his walk, I dallied with my camera around and about. My blip would have fitted yesterday's mono Monday, but it is one for a Lady's own mono Tuesday.
Because I knew you would be interested to see the scone of which I rave, and Peebles in the sun, I have added them as extras.
