THE TAQUET

I like the word "taquet" - it doesn't translate well into English. A "taquet" is something you stick on. The Americans call them "studs" - that doesn't do it for me either - a "taquet" in this case, is a small chamfered rectangle of spruce stuck on under the table to add strength & to keep the two sides perfectly level when I put in the insert...

Here I'm gluing one on.
