It's off to work we go!!

We had a big driving day today and arrived at Yamba just before sunset.  We were planning to drive home via the New England Highway which is an inland highway.  The road works along the Pacific Highway are horrendous at the moment, however we realised that we would have to add another 3 hours of driving if we went the inland route.  To compensate for a huge day of road works tomorrow, we decided we would head for Yamba which is one of our favourite places on the coast.  It's another situation where you have the river meeting the sea.

We just had time to park the van and head for the inlet and a walk along the sea wall.  We were keen to see the fishing boats heading out to sea for the night, it always an exciting scene.

The trip to Bundaberg is just on 1400 kilometres via the Pacific Highway. It's a long haul and we try to break it down so that no one day is too arduous.
