Mystras

A wonderful morning in the Mani region of the Peloponnese. We were anchored off Gythion, and drove via Sparta to the "Last Byzantine Fortress of Mystras.

On my previous visit we had started at the Citadel at the top and walked down. This time we focuses on the restored Medieval monastery and churches further down.

Back to Gythion, there was a bad weather alert. A storm was on its way and we had to get everyone back on board (via choppy waters) and get off to Katakolon. All safely done.
