12 tiny ducklings .....

....... ready for a swim!

It's three weeks since I had the dogs in Queen's Park.  Our regular route takes us past the two ponds where I always hope to find a blip.  The dogs are great, not making sudden jerks or the slightest sound when we get near the birds.  I had no idea that there were any ducklings until I disturbed them from their wee snooze in the reed bed.  I met one of the locals who was surprised that all 12 of the two day olds were still there.  You can't quite see all the ducklings in the main photo but you can just make out all 12 in the extra.
