Speke Hall
Today I went on a trip to Liverpool with my art group.
This morning I went to Sudley House, the home of a Victorian Liverpool ship owner. He had a huge collection of paintings that we looked at. I particularly enjoyed the exhibition of 1930s evening wear - there's a photo in extras.
In the afternoon we went to Speke Hall, a beautiful and interesting Tudor mansion. As well as the lovely grounds I enjoyed watching the planes fly in and out of Liverpool Airport as the perimeter of the estate was parallel with the runway.
