Detritus

Wel, that's the more polite version of what i called this street waste that lodged itself in my rear offside tyre today as I headed to a meeting at the Scottish Government.

The meeting was about how to improve the data collection across Scotland on how outcomes for those children and young people were (hopefully) being improved.

It's a very complex area with lead in times of 2 years before systems can be changed and upgraded, so we need to make sure that what we are collecting is meaningful, achievable and sustainable. As ever, lots of little steps but some progress being achieved ... Slowly.

This form of collection in my tyre was most unwelcome. The only saving grace was that it did not go right through the tyre so I could drive away after the meeting. But far enough so that the tyre is not safe.

Some £80 lighter I hope to collect the car tomorrow after my visit to Stirling to discuss different ways of measuring outcomes and, separately, progress on the digital front.
