Camp fire fun
Today we headed into town to go for a ride on tram and a walk in the gardens - which actually turned into a run in the leaves.
While the boys were playing in the leaves, CJ said "I'm going to build a camp fire". So, we asked if he wanted to build a real one... And if course he did. So he collected some fallen sticks and put them in the buggy.
We then had to walk back to car - which turned out to be lovely as we found a lovely lady selling her paintings opposite the arts Centre. She has been selling there for 60 years (she is now 91) and had plenty of stories to tell. We came away with two new pictures for the walls!
Once we got home CJ and S2 started to make the camp fire. CJ arranged all the sticks and S2 explained how to light it (and why fire is dangerous). They then made damper to cook over the fire.
By this time Nan and GD had arrived and they helped CJ cook his bread and chicken kebabs! It was a lovely day and CJ learnt a lot of new skills!
