Large Skipper

Super walking of the butterfly transect today - ten species on the wing including a purple emperor and more than 50 individual butterflies - especially gatekeepers. Unfortunately I couldn't get a photograph of the purple emperor as it never settled.

I'm not very good on skippers (unless its the silver studded or the dingy which are a bit more obvious) but I think this is the large one because of the darker colouring on the wings which the small skipper doesn't have (as well as being quite small).
