Grey Butcher Bird (Cracticus torquatus)
This specimen landed on the table next to me as a friend and I were sitting outside at the bar at Uni. She identified it as a Butcher Bird and after a quick search I can be pretty sure that this is a member of the species Cracticus torquatus. They are endemic to Australia and widely spread around the continent, but I haven't seen many out where I live. This one was quite happy to let me get relatively close while it finished off the scraps of someone's lunch.
