Welcome to Melbourne

Had a great day in the City today, rain not withstanding. KinkyCupcakes was on the catwalk for the Lord Mayor's Student Welcome festival thingy, showcasing Melbourne's alternative fashion scene. She looked gorgeous in her Lolita-goth dress, designed by Geomythik. There were girls in all manner of alternative wear, from roller-derby and rockabilly to elegant gothic and Steampunk. I also randomly met fellow Blipper Eliantfoto, who recognised me from my photos, and an old friend from Uni who also had a friend in the show.
After the show we had a delicious dinner at Enlightened Vegetarian Cuisine on Queensbridge St. for a friend's birthday. All in all, a very good day.
