The end of the road ..............................
I’m convinced that you will understand when I say that it has taken me 3 weeks to decide on whether or not I should include this specimen of “objet d’art”’ in my file of blip photos, but finally, due to unforeseen pressure, I have unfortunately decided to do so!
Having said that, I don’t expect any stars for today’s blip which is of a rusty, dirty old van that has no insurance, no MOT, 4 nearly flat tires and a completely flat battery. In December last year, our elderly neighbours opposite were forced to leave their property urgently for health reasons, and have since been living with their daughter and her family in Paris. As a result of being unable to ‘donate’ this relic to charity before they left, we kindly offered to take possession of it until they were able to dispose of it legally, (well that’s neighbourly love I suppose) and it has been on exhibition in the front part of our garden ever since! Well we thought it would only be there for a few days! It really is a bit of an eye sore, to say the very least and really doesn’t give credit to our cherry tree, especially when it was recently in blossom. However, I am pleased to confirm that our old neighbours have now found a property, and are intending to recuperate this object from our premises within the next few weeks. So for anybody who has not yet been able to view this relic from the past, you may only have a short time left in which to do so…….and I’m pleased to confirm that tickets are still available, surprise, surprise! Not much of a ‘blip’ I must admit, but I suppose there must be some value attached to this unsightly item for somebody? I’ll try a bit harder for tomorrow, which in itself should not prove to be too difficult! Have a nice day and thanks for your visit, I’m sure it was really worth it!
