Aleppo Tulips

These Aleppo Tulips which grow in our garden always make me think that they have been crossed with a Venus Fly Trap plant.  In fact they are a late blooming hybrid tulip developed by breeder, Seger Bros in 1969. These fringed tulips grow in a range of colours but are usually two tone.
