Scaveola
A fascinating flower that I have in one of our tubs. One year I had two hanging baskets filled with this and they were beautiful. Often called the Fairy Fan Flower, it is native to eastern Australia. Apparently it belongs in the family Goodeniaceae, a family of tropical species whose center of diversity is Australia and Polynesia. I had never seen it at all until about three years ago. I wish I could find more of it and have an entire hanging basket filled with it again. I must try again next year because I do like it.
A cool day today especially for May when we do not expect highs in the 50s but that is what we are getting at present.
