Mother and babies

Hard to choose my blip for today, so many I could have picked but I've chosen the Mother swan and her babies, all seven of them. Dad was swimming just in front of her. We spent sometime just sitting and watching them, did get annoyed at an irresponsible dog owner who allowed her dog into the water near the cygnets, Dad was not impressed and managed to shoo it away.
Several other ducks on the water and a couple of reed buntings too. A new bench has been added by Loch Kinellan and a memorial to the 60 men that fell during the Korean War. A great view up the Loch to the mountains and it was beautiful in the sunshine. Saw the tiniest baby coot on the other Loch.Also heard my first cuckoo of the year.
We had breakfast at Strathpeffer old railway station and later drank a cup of tea at the Neil Gunn memorial over looking the cats back.
Saw the two horse in the extra on the way home.
