Heron in flight
We went to our local RSPB reserve at Baronshaugh this morning. It was a beautiful morning, made all the better by the fact we saw some 'new' birds - a pretty sedge warbler climbing the reeds ( extra photo), a pair of gadwalls and a chiffchaff. The flying grey heron pictured was one of a pair. We also saw mallards, moorhens and babies, hooper swans and a magnificent bullfinch.
