Our five beautiful Badger Face Welsh Mountain year-old rams went off on their 'final journey' this afternoon.

First-born Merlin (magical & mercurial, who popped out while S was going under the knife); twins Barney (aloof & truant) & wee Jake (undersized & cheeky); cool & over-affectionate Storm [pictured] (born, along with Gail, one April night during extreme wind and driving rain); and the doe-eyed, overly-shaggy Shadow (who slipped out whilst DJ Shadow was pumping out of the in-house barn sound-system.)

Final part of down-sizing after a 'challenging' year last year. More-or-less the first time in 6 years we've been without sheep, so the end of an era in some respects. In other respects a degree of closure...
