Burrowing Owl

What a wet day ..... great for the gardens but not so good for walking!

L and I decided to take a trip out to Calderglen Park and visit the glasshouse and the children's zoo with a plan to have a bit of a walk if the weather dried up a bit.

This Burrowing Owl shares his accommodation with the cutest family of Black-tailed Prairie Dogs (think L is probably going to blip them). These owls dig their own burrows with their long legs but they often use old burrows of animals like prairie dogs.
