Campfire

The highlight of Tuesday is the campfire. The staff set-up mics, speakers, and bring all the fixings for s'mores and the kids love that feature (so do the grown-ups). We arrived early because we had skipped the "game show" that everyone else was involved in. We just couldn't pull ourselves away from the sky and the view across the channel. We are seeing the Palos Verdes Peninsula (it sort of looks like an island across the water), AND the mountain range faintly seen in the distance is actually beyond our home. We love looking.

This morning our goal for getting to the shoreline was to arrive earlier than yesterday AND we did. Viewing the sunrise is always a goal while we are at family camp here on Catalina Island. But the cloud coverage still concealed the moment. So the anticipation continues. Maybe tomorrow.

Even without seeing the sunrise, the view throughout the day has been amazing.
