It's a Washout!
What a difference a day makes!
After having a meal late in the evening yesterday with the sun burning a hole through the hotel window, we woke to the all familiar island sight of mist down to the shore and rain. Hey ho, you can't expect anything else when you are the first bit of land to feel the effects of the wind off the Atlantic. Still, we have been plain unlucky to time our stay just after a prolonged period of good weather here curtesy of 10 days of an east wind.
At the moment I am thinking of the people on the Barra flight who won't be able to land on the beach again and will face a round the houses tour of the Hebrides to get here. I suppose I should be thankful we are not booked on a return flight to Glasgow today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!
His Lordship and I have decided to miss out on getting wet and miserable outside and are happy, as only bus pass holders can be, of reading, blipping and drawing indoors while watching the beautiful Tangasdale beach disappearing into the mist as the weather closes in yet more.
The blip is our view with the picnic table completely redundant.
