But, then again . . . . .

Wet Clock.

This week’s challenge for “A Year With My Camera” is based on restrictions, there are various options including take a piece of kit you don’t use much and use it exclusively, and taking 20 pictures in 10 minutes. A key feature is that there is no requirement to show all of the results.  So, I took the phone that I bought yesterday and used it on the walk home from the doctor’s after my annual M.O.T.

It was an interesting experience with the phone working far better than the previous model. It seemed to use a movie sequence to compile a sharp image of a subject that should have shown motion blur and also made a tolerable fist of HDR – all on the default automatic setting.

The blip is of a wet dandelion clock while the extra is a collage of the seven best pictures, though I  believe I need to show a little more imagination when it comes to assembling collections like this. Cropping at an angle might be a useful technique to incorporate, or even a little judicious blending of the images.

I now need to find out how to make a phone call.

In another life, it was the U3A’s monthly talk today, this time about the third Forth crossing to Fife, though the speaker insisted on referring to it as the Queensferry Crossing. In spite of having a nice dry sense of humour, he managed to turn an intrinsically interesting topic into a rather tedious marathon covering many boring statistics, and then went on to explain various engineering aspects of the construction in a manner that was totally incomprehensible to this retired engineer.

I have just posted Tuesday's, "Big Trees Have Little Trees. . . "
