It's been a while.......

....since I blipped a heron. After a wet night when snow fell on the highest mountains it has been a calm but grey day. I went round the estuary as the tide started to fall. I found where the swans congregate when the tide is full but the heron stole the show catching a hapless crab. The sun finally came out about 2pm but setting now. I imagine it will be a good frost in the morning.

The monarch butterfly is fine. It hasn't moved far but is pumping its wings and wandering over the swan plant.
