Lilac and Hornet

My Hawthorn, Crab Apple and Lilac are all in bloom this morning  -  helped by rain last night and warm sun this morning.  There is quite a heavy wind blowing though, which as you can see is turning the leaves of the lilac northeast.  The inset Hornet I found on my kitchen table this morning. I can only assume that it had hibernated somewhere in the house during the Winter - had it hibernated outdoors it might have died in the cold. It was in a bit of a stupor  -  probably in need of a good feed so I put it out in the garden after my blip. It will be warm enough for it - just hope it finds some sustenance soon.
