The Sun shone, the temperatures soared and the beer and Pimm's flowed.

Fiona prepared the food and it was blipping gorgeous. The company was good too. I bumped into my goddaughter, who wanted to talk about pre-revolutionary Nicaragua and Bolton Wanderers first season in the Championship. Young people, eh??

We were all having such a good time that we nearly missed the torch ... and there it was and then it was gone ... and back into the garden we went ... to the beer, the Pimm's, Fiona's lovely food and the Sun.
