Lucifer in the sky with diamonds!

Now I know this is not in the sky and I suppose the purple is more Amethysts than diamonds but this was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this picture. (It's a bit long and thin for blipfoto!)

Hot, hot and hot today - and quite muggy too. Even our house felt hot when we got back after lunch and our thick stone walls usually keep excess heat out.

We've taken the first steps in moving our back account(s) to the Co-op - well it's no good just talking about the wickedness of the banks without trying to make a more ethical move (we should have done it years ago)! Well that took quite a chunk out of this morning - then haircut followed by another visit to Dunelm Mill (we should have shares in the place at the moment) - so a shoe rack and several other things purchased. And then lunch at the Cock & Crown which do a well cooked lunch for two oldies at a reasonable price!
