Silvery grass
We've had a great walk today, about 6.5 miles from Oldfield above Oakworth. The view from our starting point was across to Penistone Hill and the film set from yesterday's blip could clearly be seen at the top of the moor - extra. Couldn't help but think of the acting going on over there. Glad it wasn't raining for them.
A little further on, looking over towards Haworth, I took this photo of the light catching on the long, wet grass. I thought it made this shot a little but special and therefore my blip for today.
We dropped down towards Newshome Dene and crossed a lovely old Packhorse Bridge alongside an old Clapper bridge and then climbed up to Slipperyford ( Slithero?) At the farm there a group of half a den lambs came running up to us bleating. Obviously hand reared, they were most endearing.
We finished the walk across Keighley moor past the shooting butts and back down to the road. Being just a few years along from The Grouse Inn we just had to call in for a drink and a bite to eat. A perfect end to a splendid walk. Thanks to Corinthian Column and Mr CC.
