Edinburgh Style
I have to make apologies to lots of Edinburgh based blippers for not making contact on my short trip north. There are so many people I would love to have tried to meet but it just wasn't possible. I'm still feeling my way with what I can cope with right now. It's been very heartening to hear from friends that I look okay and seem myself, and I do feel myself for the most part - unless I'm sitting at the computer! It's just that the batteries need a long time to recharge. I seem to need a lot of solitary down-time - and I've always felt the need for quite a bit of that in the first place.
After a lovely blip meet yesterday with TJ, Freespiral and Himself, before their trip to Orkney, joined by WhiskyFoxtrot (where it needs to be reported that Freespiral actually had to move out of the sun because of the searing afternoon heat), I arranged to meet up with Annie again today for a few hours, before returning home. She took me on a little tour of her hunting ground at Portobello and introduced me to a few of the characters at her favourite eatery. The time went by incredibly quickly. There was so much to talk about.
I can report that the full three-dimensional version of WhiskyFoxtrot is even more lovely, lively and thoroughly engaging than the two-dimensional version that appears on blip. It was a real privilege to get to know you in person - and thanks for watching the clock and getting me to my train on time. You're a true star!
