Blackford Hill Discoveries

We actually went up the hill to photograph the clouds piling up over the Pentlands but discovered a few interesting new features up there:-

There's a lot of yellow - gorse, hoarding and crane in particular.

There's another hive of building activity at the observatory, a deep hole has been dug behind that hoarding, and the crane is particularly tall.

We discovered an apple tree among the gorse (extra 1) which might have grown from a discarded apple core. It's covered in blossom so we look forward to seeing the fruit

A new vista has opened up (extra 2), as a seemingly perfect house has been demolished to make room to build....a house. A bigger, modern one.

The clouds weren't so interesting compared with all that.
