...yielded an unusual iris

typically you see irises in shades - of blue, yellow, purple, white - but to see them in this combination of colors? - really? - needless to say, i was quite fascinated - stopped in my tracks and found myself turning - my camera this way and that in the - sunlight which was playing behind cloud cover - much of the time - so i wasn't very confident how my shots would - really turn out in the end

but i pressed on anyway since i - was so taken with the iris and the scene - against the tree - sometimes the lighting just doesn't matter in the end - you decide you'll try to make it work regardless - it's that then which makes for...
